Samsung Omnia i900 16gb from Australia DT??? ROM
Hi all My Omnia have the PDA: i900DTHJ5/DTHJ5 What is the lastest DT Rom? DTHJ9? In Samsung Oficial upgrade site http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/omnia/index.jsp I can´t find the Australia Country to select Other ENG country says incorrecty version when I type my DTHJ5 in the version field I would like to upgrade my Omnia, but only Original Untouched rom from Samsung. I dont like custom roms!!! I found this links, but I think is for XP only and I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit here 22.Nov.08 |
1) I wouldn't use anything on Vista 32 bit never mind 64. It's far from reliable. That aside, you could create a virtual PC within your environment using something like Sunbox. It's free, provided you have access to a legitimate Windows XP installation disc. 2) A lot of these reinstallation ROMs will work directly from SD(HC) card BUT with yours being an Australian firmware'd phone you might need to change the CDA of the device. Xperia X1 call the tool for this process HardSPL. It may well be the same for the omnia. That has to be done from on PC, I think. Up to you if you risk it on a flaky OS like Vista. 3) Why do you want to upgrade to the latest version? Is yours working ok as it is? 4) Yes, large internal disk would be the 16gb internal storage.
